People I Follow on YouTube?

Welcome back to The Self Sufficient Citizen where I talk about homemaking, homesteading and self reliance. Have you ever wondered why I am the way that I am? Me too. Sadly I don’t think I can explain in a blog post what makes me tic, but I can write what influences me! Namely the influencers that I watch on YouTube. Now this is not my complete subscription list only because if I put all 66 people I follow, this post would be way too long to read. That is why I am sticking to the people who inspired me to write a blog in the first place.

Most of these people are just that. Ordinary people like you or me. They were not famous starting out but as they worked on their passions and shared them with the world they have accrued a gathering of like minded people. These ordinary people have been able to turn their passions into a career because they took a risk and shared their lives. While I truly do write posts to educate people I can admit the draw of being able to work from home around my passions is strong.

The first set of people that I want to show you don’t necessarily fit into a category. I watch them because I love their attitudes and the content they create is captivating and or intresting. They are a great source to go to for when you want to sit down and watch a video.

The next set of people that I want to show you are the homemakers. These people showed me that it is possible to make content out of cleaning, cooking and life lessons. They have done it in such a way that isn’t boring or rude either. I hope one day people will enjoy my content as much as I love theirs.

The last few people I would like to share are the people who I live vicariously through. Sadly, it is impossible to farm with animals in an apartment… goats weren’t a pet option on my lease. I have learned so much from their channels and lives that I cannot wait to put into use once I buy a home myself. Warning. If you watch the first two channels you will find yourself suddenly invested in each goat by name and or ducks, barn cats and fluffy guardian livestock dogs. The last channel follows an older school approach to the livestock, but his family is great, and his videos are rich in resources and education. These are the people who give me hope that I will have a farm.

Throwback to my baby meat chickens!

I am so thankful these people picked up a camera and started to make videos. Like I said every one of these people inspired me to take to the internet and share my passions. Whether that be in cleaning and cooking or sharing what I know about chickens and gardening. Back to my motto “if they can do it, so can I” I know if I keep with my passions and share them, I will be able to educate all those who come searching.

I hope you enjoyed the third from last blog post in Blogmas and I encourage you to go and check out these channels. I also have a monthly newsletter that not only do I send you the blog posts, but I share information like this in. Subscribe below! Until next time!
