Hello and welcome back to The Self Sufficient Citizen where I talk about homemaking, homesteading and self reliance. It is officially 2023, a new year! There are a few things that I want to cover so bare with me.
I have a lot planned for this year but I first want to acknowledge what a great year 2022 was for me and my household. We moved, got out of debt and so many other great things happened including I had over 300 new visitors to my website!
One of those visitors actually happened to reach out to me and interviewed me for a podcast. Her name is Morgan, and she creates home preparedness videos on her YouTube as well as podcasts. You can follow her there for great content about self sufficiency and prepping. If you are interested in listening to the podcast I was interviewed for, it will be up sometime in the next month or so.
I also want to address the elephant in the room. I never posted my christmas day post for blogmas and any posts up until now. This is because I wanted to take a break and spend the holidays with my family. I am still learning how to create content ahead of time for long breaks. I appreciate everyone’s patience with me growing and learning.
So back onto the topic of My New Year Resolutions for 2023 and planned content! From now until the foreseeable future I will be posting on Thursday weekly. There will also continue to be a newsletter sent out on the first of every month to my subscribers. I also want to get my podcast up and running late February to early March and I will tell everyone when I do have that set up. On the podcast it will feature more self sufficient content and stories!
As for more blog content I am going to continue with my homemakers basic posts. I am going to add self sufficient basics which will cover more of the self reliance side of the blog. My last goal that I want to reach is doubling the readers and subscribers I have for the blog. So if you or anyone you know likes the content that I create or you think they could benefit from learning from the blog please share and subscribe to my monthly newsletter!
Now I don’t want all that admittingly boring stuff to be all you got out of the first post of the new year. So, I will share a sneak peek of next week’s post. A garden in my apartment for 2023!
Thank you for reading and I will see you next week where you will learn how I am starting a garden in an 800sq ft apartment. Until then!
