Christmas Books for Children

Welcome back to The Self Sufficient Citizen where I usually talk about homemaking, homesteading, minimalism and self-reliance. It is the sixth day of Blogmas and under a week until Christmas. We had a tradition as children where my mom or dad read a Christmas themed book starting when the tree was put up. I remember being just as excited seeing the basket of books under the tree as I was when Christmas morning came and presents appeared. Books and Christmas go hand and hand in my mind.

Right now, I do not have children currently. But I will buy copies of these books for when I do have them. I want to carry the tradition of reading to them every night like my parents did.  I love these books so much and whether you have children or not they are a great read. As an added bonus they all have photos in them. So if you don’t have a chance to read to your kids, they will still enjoy the books!
